When to show your ID card

You should show your identification card every time you see a health care provider so that the provider can identify the networks in which your plan participates and the correct billing instructions.

If you do not show the provider your identification card, you and the plan may not receive the benefit of rates negotiated with that provider.

Payment of your claim may be delayed because the provider is not aware of the correct billing instructions.
